  • Receives a number of trade enquiries from Indian Missions abroad or directly or from its more than 20 counterpart organisations in various countries which is passed on to the members.
  • Passes information about global tenders to its members
• Acts as a link between the Government and its members and provides a platform for interaction on policy issues.
• Acts as a link between member companies and foreign companies in the business development process.
• Identifies prospective markets and buyers for specific products and services offered by members.
• Conducts market surveys through delegations, sales and study teams and similar activities.
• ESC Members can duty free import raw materials under the DEEC scheme and DFRC scheme
• ESC helps its members in fixation of the DEPB rates
• Members can import Capital goods at a concessional rate of 5% subject to export obligation.

The Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) offers a comprehensive range of services to its members aimed at facilitating their export activities and expanding their international presence:

4. Government Interaction and Policy Advocacy: ESC serves as a link between the government and its members, providing a platform for interaction on policy issues related to export promotion. It also assists members in navigating government schemes such as the Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) scheme and Duty-Free Replenishment Certificate (DFRC) scheme.
5. Business Development Support: ESC acts as a link between member companies and foreign companies in the business development process, identifying prospective markets and buyers for specific products and services offered by its members.
6. Market Surveys and Research: ESC conducts market surveys through delegations, sales teams, study teams, and similar activities to gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for its members.
7. Import Incentives: ESC assists its members in availing import incentives such as duty-free import of raw materials under the DEEC scheme, fixation of DEPB rates, and concessional import of capital goods subject to export obligations.
